ZIGExN Co., Ltd. (hereinafter the “Company”) recognizes the importance of social responsibility, and has always strived for appropriate management of personal information as well.
With the aim of further enhancing personal information protection, the Company hereby and in compliance with the Japan Industrial Standard (JIS Q15001), government laws and regulations, national guidelines, and other standards concerning personal information protection, promulgates this Privacy Policy so that the Company shall, in conducting its business of providing information services with the use of the Internet, handle personal information appropriately pursuant to Company rules and systems suitable for our corporate philosophy and business activities.
The Company will require all officers and employees to comply with the Personal Information Protection Management System established based on this Policy (including this Policy, and any internal regulations and rules concerning personal information protection) and will maintain and improve it continuously in order to protect personal information.

1. Acquisition and use of personal information

The Company will clearly identify and notify the person concerned of the purpose for acquisition of any personal information obtained by the Company. Within the limits necessary to achieve such purpose, the Company will obtain personal information in an appropriate and transparent manner. Unless consent is given by the person concerned or there are legitimate grounds under laws and regulations otherwise, the Company will use personal information only within the limits necessary to achieve such purpose. The Company will not use any personal information beyond the limits necessary to achieve the purpose (i.e., unintended use), and will take measures adequate to prevent unintended use. If personal information of a person is required to be provided or disclosed to a third party, the Company will comply with the Personal Information Protection Management System in conformity with Personal Information Protection Management Systems – Requirements of the Japan Industrial Standard (JIS Q15001) and will implement such process under strict control.

2. Personal information protection system

To manage personal information appropriately, the Company will appoint a management representative (personal information protection manager) and will establish a company structure in which all relevant roles and responsibilities are clarified.

3. Security management of personal information

The Company will take all necessary preventive and corrective measures for all personal information, and will manage it appropriately in order to prevent loss, damage, alteration, leakage or any other equivalent event due to unauthorized access, theft, transport or dissemination of information.
If processing of personal information is entrusted to a third party, the Company will enter into a contract providing for personal information protection in conformity with Personal Information Protection Management Systems – Requirements of the Japan Industrial Standard (JIS Q15001) and will provide the contractor with management and supervision to ensure appropriate control.

4. Compliance with legislation on personal information and other standards

The Company will comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of May 30, 2003), Personal Information Protection Management Systems – Requirements of the Japan Industrial Standard (JIS Q15001), and other government laws and regulations, national guidelines, and standards concerning personal information protection.

5. Counter for Complaints and Consultations about Personal Information

The Company will accept complaints and consultations about the handling of personal information and will strive to respond to them in a timely and appropriate manner.

6. Continuous improvement of the Personal Information Protection Management System

The Company will continuously review and strive to improve the Personal Information Protection Management System to deal with changes in our business, government laws and regulations surrounding our business, any other laws and regulations, national guidelines, standards, and the social and IT environment.

The terms “personal information”, “personal data” and “person” herein have the meanings as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003).

1. To comprehend details of, and to answer or respond to, an inquiry

2. The Company may handle personal information of a person without his/her consent only if any of the following terms is applicable:

  • (1) If it is to be handled under government laws and regulations;

  • (2) If it is necessary for protection of human life, body or property under circumstances in which it is difficult to obtain the person’s consent;

  • (3) If it is specifically necessary for improvement in public health or promotion of juveniles’ sound development under circumstances in which it is difficult to obtain the person’s consent; or

  • (4) If it is necessary in cooperating with a national organ or local government, or a person delegated thereby, to conduct affairs under specified laws or regulations and under circumstances in which obtaining the person’s consent is likely to cause hindrance to the conduct of such affairs.

The Company will not provide a third party with personal information obtained from a person unless the person gives his/her consent or it is required under government laws and regulations.

The Company will not entrust the handling of personal information.

<<Acquisition of personal information by means that cannot be easily recognized by the person>>

When a person uses our services, the Company will legitimately obtain information via a small file called a cookie that identifies the user who accesses the site or logs data collected at the time of access.

With the use of a cookie, a user’s preferences with the site will be retained, and using the Web becomes more useful for him/her. Cookies are widely used by websites in general, and many websites use them to provide their visitors with useful functions. While a cookie identifies the computer used by a website visitor, it will not identify the individual using the services.

With cookies, the Company uses ad serving (behavior-targeted advertising) by third party distributors, including Google. The Company will not provide such third party distributors with your name, e-mail address, telephone number, address or any other information inputted on the screen for membership registration, application or subscription.

Even before you have completed a transaction or inputted complete information, the Company may, in compliance with our privacy policy, obtain and use your information inputted in the form provided by the Company for registration or reservation.
